International students in Germany

How many international students are there in Germany? And where do they come from? Our social survey provides the answers. With our quiz we want to make the results available to the wider public - playfully and simply.

Unfortunately there's no prize, but you will be surprised by some of the answers.

Don't worry; most people who are not experts on the subject will have to guess the answers!

If you want to study in Germany you have to proof your knowledge of German. Can you take the language examination while you are still at home?

As a rule you have to take the DSH or the Test DaF to be allowed to study in Germany. The DSH can only be taken in Germany, Test DaF can be taken in numerous test centres worldwide.

But there are more exams which can be taken at home and which are treated as equal to the DSH and the Test DaF: the "Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz Stufe II", the "Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung" and the "Große" oder "Kleine Sprachdiplom" of Goethe-Institut.
